It was a low tide incoming swell this evening. My boy @Drofdarb23 ask me if I could show him some photos that demonstrate the shallowness of Pipeline. Here is two images from this evening that shows you the boils and the double ups.
The first one is of Flynn Novak about to enter the double up. You can see in the right hand corner of the frame the lip is about to pitch out. Its about 3 ft deep right where i am and Flynn has to negotiate the next 4 seconds before it happens.
The Second is of Evan Valerie from Kauai. You can see the boils in the flat part of the wave in the middle of the frame. Those are caused by holes in the reef only a few feet below him.
